Roman Roleplay Idea

First, I am new here. Just let me get that out of the way before you ask "Who's this guy?". Next, I have an idea for a sandbox-y roleplay set in the Ancient Roman Republic, ca. 200 BC. A large amount of the details are undecided on, such as time (Will it be fast-paced, four hours being a day or slower, maybe a week being a day?) rules (definitely not a literate RP; I do my fair share of one-liners.) and how we are going to handle things like politics. (I don't expect to get more than 10 characters yet I need much more than that to work the political system fully - at least 30.)

In general, the way the RP will work is that most of the time, your characters are in the market, selling goods and talking. At some times, if we're lucky, our free RPing time will fall on a political day for the Romans. In this case, we can delve into the political system (something I will expound on in a document). Even at times, to mix things up, I will have a country declare war on the Romans! (or your characters can through politics, either way works.)

I really don't know what else to say, except would anyone be interested?
