the town of killarney has a feel of true community spirit with the good of our local community being the responsibility of all who live here ,the testament to this spirit was our national award in the tidy towns and numerous entente florale ,the feeling of being part of a place that has parked up recessionary blues to a more positive yes we can, this transfers to the people who come to visit us and in turn gives a more memorable experience of what killarney has to offer.
I suppose the true entity that is killarney is the people and the values they hold dear ,is our environment our tourism product our responsibility to our youth and our elderly ,the positive mindset that we can and allways will be the best at what we do even though we might not allways achieve but the difference being is that we get back up and go again failure not being the accepted option ,this is evident in the great pride we have in our kerry footballers and the success we demand is both on and off the field, tradition and being the people who are now responsible for making this a great place to live with a balance of life surrounded by history , amazing volunteerism and a love for all the physical attributes she has to offer.The quality of life in a crime free society has a feeling of safety and the natural blend of country merging on our town gives a sense of belonging and being ultimately part of the place we call killarney
